"I am the Spark that Ignites Limitless Possibilities"

What is coaching?

Coaching is “an ongoing relationship which focuses on coachees taking action toward the realization of their visions, goals, or desires.

Coaching uses a process of inquiry and personal discovery to build the coachees level of awareness and responsibility.

Coaching provides the coachee with structure, support, and feedback.

The Coaching process helps coachees both define and achieve professional and personal goals faster and with more ease than would be possible otherwise.”

Coaching explores two important aspects of ourselves-

    - the “doing” (action/dynamic)

    - the “being” (presence/still).

The client (Coachee) drives the agenda and conversation.

Each session ends with an action the client feels will best support forward movement.

Each relationship is custom-designed to meet the particular needs and requests of each individual and begins with a Designed Alliance which is co-developed - generally during the first meeting.

Designed Alliances shift over time.  We revisit this alliance regularly and will modify to meet changing needs.

What coaching is and is not.

Coaching is:

● Led by the client

● Inclusive of the whole person

● Owning one's individual life and experience

● A journey towards individual personal and/or professional transformation

BEST APPROACHES:

● Client centered

● Asking powerful questions & acknowledging

● Let coachee choose and be in control
 Demonstrate Transparency

Coaching is not:

● Therapy

● Mentoring

● Teaching

WORST APPROACHES:

● Coach choosing

(advising & directing)
Coach judging

(dismissing & shaming)

● Coach not trusting

(telling & choosing)
● Coach pushing through rather than being response to coachee

Coaching is a process and works best when there is a commitment to process and agreements.
